Deutsch Journey
A German learning platform I built with Next.js and TypeScript, combining guided lessons, spaced repetition, study planning, and personalized progress tracking.

The project
Deutsch Journey is a German learning platform built around helping beginners turn daily practice into a structured learning journey. The product combines guided lessons, vocabulary management, spaced repetition flashcards, listening and speaking exercises, and everyday Germany scenarios in one place. I built the experience to connect language learning with personal goals, consistent study habits, and measurable progress.
The frontend is designed around a clear, engaging learner journey: personalized dashboards, interactive exercises, English and Arabic support, responsive layouts, and a reusable component system. Study planning, Google Calendar integration, progress tracking, and downloadable PDF notebooks help learners organize their practice and revisit what they have learned.
Responsible for end-to-end application architecture using Next.js and strict TypeScript, building reusable UI components with Tailwind CSS and Radix primitives, and implementing typed learning logic and persistent progress tracking. Integrated Google sign-in through Neon Auth and optional cloud backups using Neon PostgreSQL and Drizzle ORM, alongside browser-based speech tools and an interactive Three.js learner card to create a personalized learning experience.
